Limited number of Wireless Access Points present during site scan

Hi guys,

Just rebuilt a Dell 5160, and installed the wireless driver 1350 PCI mini card.
The thing is, only one WAP can be seen, which is odd, as I can usually see 5 WAPs from my own laptop.

I'm stumped, any ideas guys?

The wireless card in the Dell laptop is crap and the other 4 WAPs are too far away for it to pick them up?

Does the one WAP that can be seen change after each site scan, or is it always the same one?

what are the difference between each WAP?
