View Full Version : Power Supply Tester

Just wondering what people use for power supply testers. I had one similar to the COOLMAX PS-224 with LCD readout, but it got lost in a move. I prefer the LCD to the LED testers because I feel they give a more acurate reading of the power supply, as opposed to a Green/Go Red/NoGo answer.

The one I had did the 20 + 4 pin connector on one end, 4 pin / 6 pin / 8 pin and floppy on the other end, 4 pin peripherial on the botom, and SATA on the top. As I remember, the SATA was not keyed, so it was easy to connect the cable to the tester upside down.

I see that there are several types like the one I had for sale on Newegg, they all look like the same tester, just rebranded.

Is there anyone hardcore enough to say they just use a multimeter? :D

I just use a basic LED type I picked up from a local PC store..
