Event Viewer, Windows 2000

Hello everyone, Im brand new to this forum and hope that I can find small lil tidbits of help I need here. I am also somewhat new to the Tech lifestyle. Ive become very proficient with newer OSs such as Vista, OSX, XP, and a couple others from my generation of computing. However i cant find how to access the event log in Windows 2000. Yes, I know, dumb problem to have and Im sure im gonna smack myself when I find out how. But ive just forgotten how to access it since I havent used 2000 in like 6 years. If someone could tell me how to get to the OS event log I would be greatful.

I have never used Win 2000 myself. I found this on the web, see if it works:

'To start Event Viewer in Windows 2000, click Start, point to Programs, point to Administrative Tools, and then click Event Viewer.'

thank you, i tried that prior to posting, upon looking a 2nd time realized he has win 98 which has no event log and customer is having probs with word not windows, lol just some bad communication, thanks for the help though.
