Has anyone tried advertising on the back of receipts for stores like woolworths big w etc?

I only ask cos i got a call today for an offer, but he seemed quite pushy, well he was a sales person what can you expect.

I probably wont go through with it mainly because i have a set plan for the year and my advertising budget is pretty much been used up. But i am curious to see if anyone has tried it.

Woolworths would work well.

Try advertising on the back "Bring this coupon in and we'll scan your computer free of charge* *Must be used in conjunction with other services"

I currently advertise at the back of Woolworth dockets, I started the ads on Feburary the 17th. To this day (32 days) I've had 1 solitary call. For $30 a week it is a complete rip off.

I'm going to see if I can change the ad, but i don't think its going to be sucessful

I also thought about it doing it, but how many of us really look at the back of our receipts when we do shopping.. lol

I tried these - NO Luck with them. If you do advertising like this be sure to put a date the offer expires, I had one come in 2 years after running the ad, so we gave the free check up anyway.

You guys have Woolworths?

They went bust in the UK a year or so ago. Didn't realise they had stores outside of the UK. What do they sale? In the UK they sold overpriced CD's and Pick 'n Mix sweets.

All the woolworths I've ever been to closed up years and years ago.

Woolworths is Australia's largest grocery store, which is owned by Woolworths Limited.

Then the other Major competitor in Australia is Coles, and they are owned by Wesfarmers

Pushy salesmen suck! They'll tell you anything to get you to buy in. I got burned by one a few weeks ago that sold me advertising on diner placemats. They messed up my ad and then lied about it - just make sure you get everything in writing!

I was referring to the dime store Woolworths.

I haven't had my business running long but I've had masses of calls from advertising agencies already, they must think I'm made of money and just want to chuck it at them. They remind me of baby vultures with their gaping mouths desperate to be fed. I don't tell them that of course, perhaps I should.
