Hi,

I have a client who requires means to remotely display his screen to his own clients.

Something which could be ran or linked from his own site, encrypted (perhaps password access) and then displayed.

He usually has phone meetings and has to discuss figures or visits the client at their work place just to display the data.

Any recommendations?

Cheers,

Chris

I just ran across this the other day, hadn't heard of it before but it seemed like something I should bookmark. Maybe it's what you're looking for.

Microsoft SharedView. Allows up to 150 people to view a screen.

Looks pretty decent but I am reading this "SHARE - with up to 15 people in a session." I guess "share" is different then "view a screen"?? No idea but worth checking out.

FWIW:

I would suggest that you spend a lot of time considering the primary issue with this type of solution - the compatability and usability on the remote system.

If your client is connected to an unknown system to share the desktop, you want to be sure the solution/software runs flawlessly on the viewing side. Espeically for sales calls - nobody likes to lose a deal because the meeting software didn't work.

Cross platform is supported by most vendors, however, the first time your client has be tech support they will want something else.

This is main reason most companies pay the premium for GoTo, WebEx, etc.

What about Adobe ConnectNow or Acrobat Connect Pro?

Really impressed with Adobe since it runs in a browser (Flash).

They don't supply paid-for products outside of the USA at the moment but the free version should be sufficient for my customers needs.

Thanks again.
