I'm looking for a fairly easy and comprehensive way to track cpu, memory, hard drive performance of a workstation, and network.
I know that windows xp, 2003, etc. has Performance Monitor built in, but I don't find that very easy, or friendly to use. Are there alternatives?

WildPackets the best network monitor out their in my opinion but its very expensive. I don't know of any good free alternatives.

He isn't lookin for network monitor he is lookin for something to log CPU usage, RAM usage, and Network usage. Looks like in addition wants to record the HDDs preformance/usage. I don't know of an overall tool but there is likely one for each but this won't be ideal as it is likely to skew the results a little bit.

rurbaniak,
Do you have access to a Linux box on the network - or have an OLD CPU laying around? There are a lot of free ones on Linux.
But I did a quick search & found this link to some Items you might like.
Free Network Monitoring Software:

WARNING: Please check with your security admins as some of these might trigger a security alert from software they have & get you in deep dodo!!
