I am am kicking butt with it!

I have over 120 clients, all pretty much from 2009.

Don't forget to use this important tool. I'm a LinkedIn maniac, so feel free to ask questions.

I have an account, but I don't do that much with it. Anything in particular you are doing that drives in so much business?

I really like to know!

Thanks!

I have an account and just started using it. How have you pulled in that many clients with it? Do you use Twitter or a blog as well?

We have one, part of our social networking experiment. I have not done too much with it lately.

I can start posting my tips and tricks, especially for the first starters. I did a new count and it's 140 now.

Most people say exactly what you guys say "I have an account but don't use it"...think of it this way, all the folks on LinkedIn have personal computer and (((BONUS))) most of those folks have work computers. They are either entrepreneur's or small business owners. 2 for 1 deal!

What I did though is not normal, but I can help the you guys get computer repairs in your area with no problem at all.

I'll start a post on Sunday about it.

Who's watching the Vikings on Sunday!???? :D

Lisa,

I'm looking forward to your LinkedIn tips. Like most, I use it but would like to know how you're working it to your advantage.

And oh and yes, I'll be tuned in Sunday but being in Louisiana...I'll be pulling for the Saints. Who dat!

LinkedIn is basically the largest business directory in the world, one of the secret weapons is the hidden search engine underneath. So many folks don't even know that it's there.

It's there baby and it works!

The best part is the group participation though. I will start with a few tips on Sunday and then maybe we can do a group posting on what we have learned and done so far and give each other help. I don't know it all, some many some new folks will spawn new ideas.

We can call it "LinkedIn school for techs" :)

I too have an account and started to use it. I could see the contacts of my contacts but I do not know how to use that. Do I contact them like cald calling etc?

I can't wait to learn.

Cold calling? Who has time. :p

I haven't ever cold called anyone, nor will I. Social media is about giving value. I will teach you all my methods, this will be fun!

Just a tip, if you are not blogging with your website, now is the time to reconsider that. When I move into giving tips in the later sessions, it's all about driving business to your website.

I have an account now. Searched and found you but do I have to upgrade to be a contact with you? I am not in your group either. Any ideas?

Excellent, I like that attitude :D

I always think of cold calling as something for over-competitive markets or desperate businesses: phone rate services, mobile phone contracts, loan sharks etc...

Good businesses rely on word-of-mouth and proper targeted marketing.

Cold calling and brand/scattergun advertising are rubbish

Thank you Wim! I have put in my dues though, it's a lot of work to "work" all day and "network" all day too.

Exhausting even some days.

I've been active for 2+ years now, it does take time to do well and market to your area.

I'm doing national marketing now, I kinda outgrew my own area :D
