That's what I really do love about Apple! Just another way besides firewire and USB to boot your Mac. I have a couple 2.5" drives set up in firewire enclosures I'd be lost without. One has bootable 10.3, 10.4, and 10.5 systems on it, and the other has 10.4,10.5,10.6 installers and DiskWarrior on it.
