How to Search TechNibble for a Phrase?

How do we search TechNibble for a phrase?
I have tried searching for 'this is a phrase' and "this is a phrase" but neither produce desired results.

Other than using the advanced search method I don't think there is any other way to search for specific phrases. What are you searching for specifically?

I use Google's advanced search and tell it to look only on the technibble site.
Google has a great index of the forums! :D

It is really helpful when you need to search giant forums like bleepingcomputer and majorgeeks.

Allanc, I have had the same experience. The simple and advanced search, with or without quotation marks, appear to apply multiple words with an OR instead of with an AND.

Too bad that the 'phrase' search does not work here and that we have to use an outside source.

I should have been a little more clear in my response, sorry. I meant that if the option is not in the advanced search feature then it's not going to be anywhere.

I am not so sure that there is anything that can be done about enhancing the integrated search features within the Vbulletin software. I spent considerable time searching for a forum software to use on a site I am developing and found that VBulletin has the best search capabilities of all the major forum platforms.

I think that Goggle is just so far advanced beyond anything else when it comes to indexing a site and making detailed search easy. Hence the reason Google is the Gazillion dollar company that it is.

As a soon to be Forum developer I plan to advise people to utilize the Google machine for advanced search of the site content. I want the user experience to be as good as possible.

If I remember correctly (and I could be wrong), it was possible at one time to actually integrate Google Search *into* a WEB site.
Is this what you are referring to?
And, if yes, then is there some reason that it cannot be integrated on this WEB site?

You don't even need to use the advanced search with google. You can type into their search box

"your phrase here" site:www.technibble.com

and it will search technibble for your phrase :)
