One of Acer’s Aspire One netbook model may be the first netbook to operate with Google’s Android mobile operating system.

China’s Guangzhou Skytone Transmission Technologies is also working on a netbook that includes Android. According to the company, is undergoing final testing.

“We are seeing that Android is becoming more common,” said Jim Wong of Acer. An Aspire One with Android will be less expensive than a netbook version that is equipped with Windows XP. At Computex, companies were showing Android-based netbooks that shows battery life is better than one that is Windows XP-based.
