Mark Harris of SophosLabs has posted a blog entry about a message that he received from a Sophos customer.

The customer said that one of the emails that he or she received from the Sophos Alert Service contained a virus script. The Sophos Alert Service were emailed to customers to warn them about new PC threats. They are in plain text and do not have any HTML content according to Harris’ post.

He ended the blog entry by writing, “Any other users that are concerned should contact the vendor in question.” He also noted that the customer was using another security product besides Sophos’.
