A report has been released by The Register that CA has updated its anti-virus software recently. This is due to vulnerabilities that affects their software.
Version 30.6 is the new version that they’ve published which fixes numerous flaws such as buffer overflow flaws which causes a computer system to crash, and a possibility of executing an arbitrary code. It involves processing CAB archives which have been infected.
The flaws were discovered by security researchers at 3Com Tipping Point’s Zero Day Initiative
A company called Trend Micro also had a problem recently with UPX files.
