Both Microsoft and Apple had released critical security fixes recently which patches Internet Explorer, Bluetooth services, QuickTime, and other components.
Some of the IE flaws are cross-domain and memory corruption vulnerabilities according to The Register’s article. Users should install the patch immediately said Sans Internet Storm Center since this particular cross-domain bug’s details was released over two months ago.
A fix for buggy DirectX components was also released. The Bluetooth hole lets an attacker flood a vulnerable system with Bluetooth device enquiries on a massive scale.
The QuickTime patch is available for both Windows and Mac OSX operating systems.
